How Does Posture Alignment Therapy Work
Posture Alignment Therapy works through the implementation of a corrective exercise program designed to address your specific postural needs.
Over time, poor posture, pain, inactivity, repetitive motions, poor stimulus, injuries and gravity affect our joint position creating muscular imbalances and causing joint compensations. This can come from a history of prolonged sitting, heavy computer or technology usage, shoveling, gardening, driving, lifting, bending, playing sports, or engaging in other one sided or repetitive motion activities.
The Blue Print for Posture Alignment Therapy
The with Posture Alignment Therapy is restoring the BLUE-PRINT DESIGN, the ideal joint position and range of motion of the ankles, knees, hips and shoulders. Restoring these allows the pelvis and spine to move back towards their correct placement and function.
Your menu will wake up and engage the muscles of your body and will help reposition, strengthen, stretch or create functional demand to eliminate incorrect musculoskeletal dysfunction.
Each exercise in a menu is specific to your posture deviations. The exercises are designed to facilitate normal muscle function and interaction. Muscles that are balanced work properly and provide the body with the ability to move more efficiently. Over time, this helps bring your body back into it’s proper “blue-print” design and function.
The 8 major load joints of the body (shoulders, hips, knees, ankles) are directly aligned, and your spine has a natural S-curve. In this position, our body weight is evenly distributed through the spine and joints and our bodies can easily handle the impact from walking, running, jumping, standing, bending, twisting, etc.
This position also gives us proper muscle balance, strength and flexibility resulting in no spine and joint pain or degeneration.
Good posture is necessary for success in the everyday actions of life. Adhering to a Blue-Print Design allows the body to functioning efficiently and PAIN FREE.
